"Join us for the first half of an epic journey through the greatest story ever told. The tale of Pip, Charles Dickens' mighty "Great Expectations" will straddle the two ends of this academic year. Part One of this two-part adaptation will be performed next week on Thursday 30 November and Friday 1 December in the Main Hall at 7pm. (Please note the earlier than usual start time). Part Two will form our Trinity Term drama production in July 2018. Lose yourself in the interlocking destinies of some of the most celebrated characters in English Literature, brought to life by a huge and eclectic cast drawn from students in every year group in the school and with a record number of teaching staff mining their thespian talent! This promises to be a very special evening of live theatre."

Q-Plus

Q-Plus offers busy parents of Infant and Junior School pupils at QEGS a safe and secure environment for their children before and after the school day.

The Breakfast Club runs from 7.45am each school day and children meet at the Q-Plus Club Room in Ormerod House on the Dukes Brow side of the site.

Bookings must be made for Breakfast Club and After-School Care.  Following Breakfast Club they are escorted to the Infant School and/or the Junior School as appropriate, in good time for the school day.

After school, Q-Plus offers collection arrangements, with children collected from the Infant School and/or Junior School and escorted back to the Q-Plus After-School Club. There they can enjoy a snack, take part in a range of activities, or begin their homework, all under the careful supervision of our Q-Plus team.

The Q-Plus service is currently available until 6pm for children aged 4-11 years who currently attend QEGS.

Further details, including current prices, can be obtained from the Extended Hours Scheme Manager Tanya Jones on 07507 497622.

Welcome
to QEGS

A former private school, QEGS is now a 4-19 co-educational free school. This is a state-funded independent school so, while we
no longer charge fees, we retain
an independent-school ethos,
placing strong emphasis on high
academic standards, exemplary
behaviour and extra-curricular
commitment. This combination,
as we know from our 500 years
of experience, is a guarantee of
success, as our results show
year after year.
