Sixth Form @ QEGS
The Sixth Form at QEGS is an ideal environment for someone who wants to experience a professional approach to develop both their academic ability and character. Our expectations are based entirely on the belief that students wish to be here and that they want to achieve academic and personal success.
It provides the perfect blend of work and responsibility that prepares you to be a 'Leader in Life'.
We understand that the gap between GCSE and Advanced Level standards cannot be bridged immediately so the Lower Sixth provides smooth transition, within a structured framework.
Our aim is to help students achieve the standards necessary to progress into higher education, and to produce mature and responsible adults, equipped to take their place in society, being the best at whatever they do.
We are proud of the academic achievements of our Sixth Form students, which have always been consistently high. Whilst we offer a diverse range of extra‐curricular activities which enable our students to become well‐rounded young adults, we are also unashamedly academic and we strongly encourage all of our students to achieve the highest academic standards possible.
The general well-being, both academic and pastoral, of all Sixth Form students, is the responsibility of the Head of Sixth Form, working closely with the Deputy Heads and Headmaster. He is supported by a team of Personal Tutors who will stay with their tutor groups throughout both years of sixth form study.
We are currently updating our Sixth Form pages with information on the reformed subjects - please refer to the Sixth Form prospectus for additional information
