"Join us for the first half of an epic journey through the greatest story ever told. The tale of Pip, Charles Dickens' mighty "Great Expectations" will straddle the two ends of this academic year. Part One of this two-part adaptation will be performed next week on Thursday 30 November and Friday 1 December in the Main Hall at 7pm. (Please note the earlier than usual start time). Part Two will form our Trinity Term drama production in July 2018. Lose yourself in the interlocking destinies of some of the most celebrated characters in English Literature, brought to life by a huge and eclectic cast drawn from students in every year group in the school and with a record number of teaching staff mining their thespian talent! This promises to be a very special evening of live theatre."

Infant & Junior

Our Infant School is two form entry and has classes for Reception (EYFS), Year 1 and Year 2 catering for the needs of boys and girls aged 4 to 7.

Our main priority is to ensure that the children are safe, secure and happy within this environment. From this base, children begin to learn, build relationships and make the most of the holistic education QEGS offers.
The curriculum is exciting, thematic and based on the children's interests where possible. The curriculum is adapted where necessary to ensure we are providing personalised learning. This, we feel, is paramount in allowing all children to achieve their full potential. We are proud of our environment, in which all children develop a caring attitude to others, good manners and acceptable behaviour.
We also aim to provide the children with stimulating and interesting learning opportunities, thus allowing them to develop as lifelong learners.

Clubs

Throughout the year we offer a variety of exciting, challenging and fun extra curricular clubs. These include: Cooking, Chinese, gardening, construction, colouring, film, book, Irish Dancing, fresh air and fun, sewing, handbell, small world, ball games and fitness clubs.
