The next Sixth Form Open Evening will be held on Tuesday 26 September between 5pm and 9pm 

Main School Open Day will be held on Saturday 7 October between 9.30am and 1.30pm

There is no need to book a place - just arrive on the day and allow enough time to look around!

Extending The Bench of Friendship

 

At the start of the Trinity Term, Mr Case (Paul Case Furniture) and his skilled craftsmen created this bespoke item for us.  

Throughout the design process, we were keen to install a piece of furniture that was original, long-lasting and used high quality materials.  We have high standards at QEGS and wanted to avoid the benches that you commonly see in schools that start to look tatty quite quickly.

Year 3 Trip To The Manchester Museum of Science & Industry

Junior School House Football

Before the Easter holidays all the Junior School pupils represented their Houses in the Round Robin Football Competition. The pupils played five games each; with points being collated at the end of each game.  

All the pupils enjoyed playing outside at Lammack despite the pitches being quite muddy. The mud, thankfully, seemed to add to the fun for them.

Year 5 Trip To Smithills Hall

On Wednesday, 1st March, Year 5 visited Smithills Hall.

The excursion supported last term’s History topic on the Tudors.

The pupils participated in many exciting activities linked to this era. These included recreating life in a Tudor merchant household, investigating Tudor household artefacts and being transformed into a variety of characters from the past.

On the afternoon of Thursday, 30th March, QEGS Has Got Talent made a triumphant return to the Junior School!

Sixteen acts were chosen as finalists, having been through a tough selection process. A wide range of talent was showcased including singers, dancers, comedians and even magicians!
