Ladies' fashion show - friday 9th february, 7pm MAIN Hall

QEGS are hosting a Ladies' Fashion Show in order to raise money for the netball tour in July to Barbados, and for the Sea Turtle Project with which the school are volunteering for whilst there. Clothes will be on sale at 75% off RRP. Tickets are £5 and available from school reception.

Results from the fixtures vs St.Bedes Manchester:

1st X1 lost 3-2, 2nd X1 lost 8-2, U15 won 5-0, U14 lost, U13 won 4-2, U12a lost 4-0 and U12b lost 8-3

ESFA Cup Football Results:

U12 vs Whitworth College lost 5-2, U14 vs Scarisbrick Hall won 3-2, U15 vs Fishermore Burnley won 5-0

Swimming

Blackburn Hexangular vs Hutton, Hulme GS, Kirkham GS, St.Margarets and Audenshaw

U15 finished 6th, U14 finished 5th, U13 finished 3rd and U12 finished 5th - Overall Result: QEGS 6th

Well done to Daniel Ainsworth who was the only victor for QEGS in the Year 8 front crawl race.

Blackburn/ Darwen League: Year 10 vs Darwen Vale won 23-3, Year 10 vs DACA won 17-14 and Year 11 vs DACA won 15-12

Biathlon

North West Regional Biathlon Event:

Jenson Gibson finished 11th overall.

Jacob Gibson was the 2017 champion and will now qualify automatically for the National Championships at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in March.

Well done to the Gibson brothers- watch out the Brownlee's!
