Hyndburn Sports Awards : Young Achiever of the Year 2016 : Baylie Seery

Congratulations to 12 year old Baylie Seery who has been awarded the title of 'Young Achiever of the Year' at the 2016 Hyndburn Sports Awards.

The Hyndburn Community Sports Awards is a celebration of local sporting achievements from athletes, coaches, volunteers, teams, clubs and schools across Hyndburn and is organised by Hyndburn Leisure; this year is the 13th year and took place at Accrington Town Hall.

Back to School with Sporting Vim and Vigour!

The first sporting week back at school after the summer saw our U13 Footballers win 6-4 against Rossall School and the U12a team lose 4-0.  The 2nd XI -vs- St Wilfrids 1st XI also resulted in a loss of 4-0.

In the football against Bury Grammar School on Saturday 10 September we had wins for the U15's (6-2) and U13's (5-2), the 1st XI drew 1-1, and the 2nd XI lost 2-0.  The U14's lost 4-0 and the U12a's lost 5-0.

Year 8 County Champions!

On a rare day of superb weather, the Year 8 Cricket Final was held at Burnley Cricket Club on 14th July 2016.


Outstanding performances from Hasan Musa (81*) and Hussain Patel (28*) - a partnership of 115 - meant QEGS were crowned County Champions 2016 beating Ormskirk G.S.
