FAIR BANDING ASSESSMENT

This takes place on Saturday 18th November.  If you have a child currently in Year 6 and have applied to the Local Authority for a place at QEGS for September 2018, your child needs to sit this assessment.  You will have received notification of the allotted date and time to bring your child into school, providing you have also completed the QEGS online application form - as per the Local Authority School Admissions booklet.

The QEGS Golf team of James Andrews Year 11 , Ahmad Musa Year 9 and Owais Musa Year 8, finished 3rd in the Forty Club Golf Competition held at Pleasington golf Club. Sports Results From Week Beginning 18th September

Please see below for this weeks sports results:  

Football 

The results for fixtures against St. Wilfrids were as follows:

U15 lost 6-0, U14 won 7-1, U13 lost 5-1, U12a lost 8-0 and U12b 8-3.

Both our Old Boys and a current QEGS team competed against Liverpool Ramblers. Unfortunately the Old Boys lost 3-1, however QEGS managed to secure a 2-2 draw.

Results Vs Bury Grammar School were as follows:

1st X1 won 3-1, 2nd X1 lost 2-0, U15 lost 7-1, U14 lost 3-0, U13 lost 5-0 and U12 drew 4-4.

'B' Teams Vs Rossall: U12B won 4-3 and U13B drew 1-1.

Prize Giving 2017

On Thursday 21st September, our annual Prize Giving took place at King George’s Hall.

Pupils, Students, Staff, Governors, Old Blackburnians and Parents attended the event which saw BBC producer and Old Blackburnian, Charlotte Hindle, deliver an entertaining and insightful speech on her days at the school and her career so far.
